How does a leader leave the group??

Hi, serious question.

The leader and moderator of a group are fed up, in fact bored of the game. Only one problem .... if we both leave, what will happen to the group?

Club will still exist, the next oldest player or the player with highest ranking will automatically become the leader.

Can existing leader transfer leadership before they go?

There is no option as such but they can try to make it happen by first removing all the roles of other members i.e. veterans and moderators, then choose the one they want to make leader and make them moderator. Then exit the club. This should help in transferring leadership. But I can not be sure ...
